Shouts of “Liberte’! Egalite’! Fraternite’!” will fill the air once again as the Chatillon DeMenil Mansion celebrates Bastille Day on Sunday July 17 from 2pm-5pm. The French Marines from Fort de Chartres will do drills on the lawn, and a volley of musket fire will follow the singing of La Marseillaise. Dance Discovery, a period dance performance troupe, will perform. The Queen herself, Marie Antoinette, will be in attendance. Admission is free, and light refreshments will be served. Café DeMenil will be offering a light menu and bar service.
